Blackmoor 2 FAQ (frequently asked questions)
How do I join a cross-platform multiplayer game between iOS and Android?
- You must have the same version of the game to play together. We recommend downloading the latest on the App Store or Google Play to make sure.
- The player with an iOS device must be the one to enable cross-platform multiplayer.
- Tap on the ‘region’ icon (white globe) in the multiplayer lobby.
- Tap on the icon at the top-right of the screen.
- Choose the same country (flag), that’s it.
Who is the best character?
There's no correct answer for this because they are supposed to be balanced equally and have their own roles. For starting out, Gladius was designed to be a good all-rounder.
Who should I buy first?
If you really want to help us out, buy the Premium Upgrade :) Otherwise, most people think Gax or Nameless are solid choices with Nameless being a little more advanced.
What are Villains?
Villains are playable characters that act similar to hero skins (but not the same). You have to unlock some of them with gold coins, the Minion and Angel are unlocked only for Premium Upgrades, two others are unlocked through achievements (endless mode and 2v2 PVP). The other characters are 'secrets' which someone will have to solve by themselves.
How do I get pets?
Currently, there are THREE ways to get pets. 1) Buying the Premium Upgrade for the Burger (healer). 2) Log in daily and earn your way up to the pets in a linear fashion (it takes a week for the chicken) or 3) Buy the Bag of Pets for 5 different pets. The Premium Upgrade and Bag of Pets are both permanent purchases and will follow your account forever.
Where can I use pets?
Pets are only available for single player mode, excluding PVP (world tour). We think pets in multiplayer make the screen a little too busy. So you can use them in Story and Dungeon, they excel in Dark Mode.
What's in the Premium Upgrade?
You will unlock Gax, Clementine, Scarecrow, Ben, Nameless and 2 Villains (Minion of Death and Winkle the Angel). You get the Gladius skin, Julius. 10,000 gold, 40 continues and automatic coin doubler after beating stages. In the Hallowed Knights expansion, your continues will refill as you beat story stages (1 per 3 normal mode or 1 per 1 dark mode). We hope that the upgrade provides great value for everyone who supports us by buying it and we'll keep it in mind in the future.
How do I unlock Dark Mode?
Once you beat the game at least once, you can unlock Dark mode.
How do I find legendaries?
You must be at least level 15 and defeat any stages from City of the Damned onwards (City, Flying Ship, Clockwork Station, Sewer, Ice Mountain, 4 Arenas, Siege of Port Pig, Scar, Tower, Pinnacle).
You can find them on Normal or Dark mode but the chance is a lot higher with Dark Mode. Your luck stat does affect the chance of dropping them. Certain stages have a much higher chance to drop one in particular the Pinnacle and Scar.
You can find them in both story and multiplayer.
Bluetooth Controller (that we try to support)
We fully support MFi (Apple's bluetooth controller) for all iOS devices.
We fully support Xbox and Playstation bluetooth controllers for all iOS devices using iOS 13+.
We widely support Xbox and Playstation bluetooth controllers for Android devices - there have been bug reports that Android 11 (2020) has issues with bluetooth controllers for everyone (not just our games). So you may need to upgrade your operating system to Android 12+ (do so with caution :p)
What are the symbols next to some weapons?
There are 5 elements/colours on special weapons.
Fire - Deals x3 critical damage
Ice - Freezes a target (doesn't work on some bosses)
Poison - Deals damage over time
Light - Heals you for a % of your total HP
Dark - Deals damage multiple times (area effect)
What do stats do?
There are 4 stats.
Sword 'Attack' - Increases damage of attacks and abilities.
Shield 'HP' - Increases HP by a flat number.
Arrows 'Speed' - Increases attack and movement speed.
Dice 'Luck' - Increases chance of critical strike 2x damage and item drop chance at bosses.
I've beaten multiple stages in Story mode but they aren't unlocked in Multiplayer (Online), Is that right?
The progression of Story and Multiplayer are separated as the two modes are designed slightly differently. Multiplayer includes different/more enemies and involves player ghosts if you play with others, so we feel it was better to have separate progression.
What devices do you recommend for iOS?
We try to support devices that are 5 years or newer from the date of launch.
iPad Mini 4 or iPhone 6 will be safe. MFi Bluetooth controllers from Steelseries are currently supported too. Xbox and Playstation will work for iOS 13.
We fully support all iOS resolutions.
iOS Family Sharing
It's our company policy to allow for as much family sharing as available to us. That means if you buy anything from us on the App Store labelled as a 'permanent purchase' e.g. Premium Upgrade, you will be able to share it with your other family accounts for free. Sharing the game with more players is our priority over profit.
What devices do you recommend for Android?
We only allow devices that support OpenGL3.0 and above, for Android that generally means a device from 2015 onwards. It's not easy trying to support so many different models but we'll try to add more.
Highly recommended that you have OS 8.0 and above and Google Play Games enabled.
Is there any way to reset my data to start over (using iCloud or Google Cloud Save)?
We made it hard on purpose to do that and would rather not have players wipe their saved data. So, you CAN but it will involve you going through your device settings. You can contact us if you're really desperate to do that.
Are you guys Mooff Games? You're using the same IPs
We are the same guys just under a new, independent name of the Four Fats. Not much changed besides we're older :p
Why are you guys called the Four Fats?
Kwok was on a London bus and there was a sign that read 'FOUR SEATS' . Someone used white-out to remove the S and change the E to an F. 20 years later thanks to that vandal's work, we made the Four Fats a reality.
